Shabbat Shalom!
We’re re-charging for 25 hours now — it’s Shabbos!
{…so we can juggle even better next week…}
Since the world began…
The Holy Sabbath has created an incredible calm and peace, an oasis to counter the stress of our tumultuous planet.
It begins each week at sundown on Friday and ends on Saturday night.
It’s a day to try to forgo our work-oriented weekday concerns and return to what’s most important: love, our families, our neighbors, our inner selves. To reflect on our lives right now, this very day.
One day, each and every week that we’re alive together, we offer this day as a recognition of our promise and as our thank-you to Hashem for creating us.
Therefore, in order to help create a peaceful Sabbath environment, Jewish people don’t touch any electrical devices. They take leisurely walks, visit, revel in talking live and in-person with family, eat special foods and refrain from certain other weekday activities. Most stay close to their homes to be with loved ones, neighbors and friends.
So…
Each week, this website will observe Shabbos, too, and will automatically go into Shabbat Mode for 25 hours during the Sabbath. We will not be available to reply to any inquiries until post-Shabbos. We, and the site’s full functionality, will become available again after nightfall each Saturday evening.
